Butterflies for Amy Two

Butterflies for Amy Two is finished and the pattern is ready. This pattern is revised from the original Butterflies for Amy. The butterflies have been simplified with fewer pieces but still look beautiful. Let your imagination soar with various fabrics and colors. The bowtie block has also been simplified.
Please visit Nancy Mink's website .  She has written a darling little book called Every Quilt Has A Story.  I met Nancy a couple years ago and there are a couple pages that she has included about me in the book.   She writes about my inspiration for the original Butterflies For Amy, which was my cousin Amy and her challenge with leukemia. This book is a great gift idea for those quilters you care about. Check it out!!

Christmas in August

Poinsettia is done. This is a very Christmasy wall hanging that combines applique and paper piecing using my TNM method.  Of course you can use any method of paper piecing that you like to do.  I love how the poinsettias turned out. I would say this was for the quilter who has some experience as putting all those petals together can be tricky. Patience!! Available now so that you have time to make it for Christmas. We have gorgeous huge poinsettias that grow here in Hawaii. Hopefully this year I will get a picture to show you.
This measures 40" x 52".  You can also make a square one that just has one row of pieced blocks around, like the ones on the side and bottom of the applique.  Make one and bring a little holiday to your house.
